Frequently asked questions
The short version: it is free, your submission is anonymous, and your employer can never tie it back to you. The details are below.
Is Jochi free?
Yes. Pay comparisons, percentile rankings, and clinic reviews are free for ABA professionals, and you can run a comparison without an account. The core pay and review data stays free.
Is my pay submission anonymous?
Yes. Every submission is anonymous. We never show your name to clinics, employers, or other users, and we never tie a pay report or review back to you, including the clinic you review.
Can my employer see what I submitted?
No. Clinics can claim their page and respond to reviews, but they can never identify individual reviewers or trace a pay report or review to a specific person. What they see is the same aggregated, anonymized data everyone else sees.
Where does the pay data come from?
Two places: pay that working ABA professionals report directly, and compensation pulled from verified ABA job listings. We aggregate by role and location and show the sample size next to every figure so you can judge it yourself.
Why is some clinic pay hidden?
Clinic-level pay stays private until at least three people report from the same workplace. That threshold protects anonymity and keeps any single number from being traced back to one person.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to run a pay comparison or browse the clinic directory. A free account lets you save clinics, track your submissions, and keep a profile.
Which roles and states does Jochi cover?
RBTs, BCBAs, BCaBAs, ABA therapists, and adjacent roles, across all 50 states and D.C. Coverage is deepest where people have reported, so adding your pay improves the picture for your state.
How current is the data?
Aggregates update as new pay reports and job listings come in. Each figure shows how many data points sit behind it, so you always know how fresh and how deep the sample is.
I run a clinic. How does claiming work?
Claiming your page is free on the Basic tier. You can add photos and an employer statement, respond to reviews, publish verified pay bands, and post jobs. See the For Clinics page for details.
How do I add my pay?
It takes about 30 seconds and stays anonymous. Head to the Contribute data page to add your role, location, and current rate.
